Why a PINK chef's coat?

Simply put, I carry my Dad's legacy with me through my cookbook, cooking and everyday I am writing my food columns, he is always with me. I carry my Mom with me through a silent reminder of her struggle with breast cancer that took her life, as well as the lives of many other women who have dealt with, and are still dealing with, this horrible affliction. Besides, why not pink? It makes a man look good!

Simple Sandwich Cookie Bars

Love the taste of Oreo's? Then you will love these bars, and the kids will too. Simple, quick and a snack that is perfect for that afterschool snack.

Ingredients

For 9 Serving(s)

Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 (14 oz.)can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12-oz.)bag white chocolate chips
  • 15 sandwich cookies, coarsely broken, divided

Simple Sandwich Cookie Bars Directions

Line an 8-inch square pa with parchment paper; set aside. IN a large bowl, add marshmallows, milk and chocolate chips in that order. You want the marshmallows on bottom because they will puff up and may overflow the bowl. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes and stir. If the chocolate chips have not completely melted, continue microwaving at 15 second intervals until completely melted. Remove from microwave and add half the crushed cookies, stirring to evenly blend. Pour into prepared pan and refrigerate until cold and set, about 2 hours.
Loosen the edges with a knife and invert onto work surface, peeling parchment paper from the bottom. Cut to desired sized pieces and serve.
