Cider-Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Canned pumpkin is CHEAP. And you know how much I love using the word "cheap". By the way, am I the only one who does? Every time I utter that scarlet word, my kids and everyone in my family cringes. It's almost as if I had licked an envelope along the edge or something or scraped my nails down a chalkboard. Anyway, here is a great Smoothie recipe that can be enjoyed at anytime of the year or day. Try it for breakfast. Heck, it's CHEAPER and better for you than eating out!
Makes 2 servings
For 4 people
- 1 cup(s) pure pumpkin
- 1 cup(s) apple cider
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) pumpkin pie spice
- 1 pinch(es) cayenne, optional
- 1/2 cup(s) whole milk or yogurt
- 1/4 cup(s) maple syrup
- 1/2 cup(s) ice

- Blend all together and sprinkle crushed gingersnaps on top.
